About the Children’s Home:
Located in the beautiful country known as the "Warm Heart of Africa" The Good
Samaritan Children's Home in Malawi is where many orphaned children are fed, taught,
loved and given hope by wonderful caregivers. Various conditions stemming from
poverty, malnutrition, disease, limited or no access to healthcare, deceased birth
parents, abandonment, lack of educational resources, and criminal dismemberment of
people with albinism are common reasons why they come. Founded in 2003 by Dr.
Gardiner Gentry and what was originally intended for 50 orphans, is now housing over
170 orphans and counting. The great demand from social welfare and village chiefs
asking to help more orphans on a regular basis goes beyond the need for basic
necessities, medicine, education, and space. Would you please consider giving to this
amazing ministry and invest in helping change the lives of these precious children for
“He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will
he pay him again.” -Proverbs 19:17

Urgent Needs:
One of the most urgent requests are funds for unexpected expenses above the
monthly budget that already covers essentials, which become more expensive over
time. These additional funds will provide for needs such as seeds and plants for
growing their own crops, dry food supply, medicine, special medical attention,
emergencies, and education costs for secondary schooling, teacher salaries, supplies,
books, and uniforms. There is also a new baby building in the final process of being
built that will house newborns and infants that are brought into the children’s home,
where several are found malnourished and abandoned in jungle bushes. Baby formula
is very expensive per container in country and most of it is sent by visitors in luggages
to keep a consistent supply. This new building will also provide a space for future
adoptive families to stay and bond with their new children. New furniture and other
items will be on its way soon in a giant shipping container by sea that usually takes
several months to arrive after it is filled with goods coming from the United States. This
is another expense that usually costs thousands for shipping services to ensure the
children and workers get affordable, high quality materials that are needed in greater
quantities for the growing home. Every dollar goes a long way and will be specifically
designated and guaranteed for its use.
“Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done
it unto me.” -Matthew 25:40

Why Donate?
The Good Samaritan Children’s Home has been recognized by the First Lady of
Malawi and other Malawian government officials who thank the work being done for
their country through this ministry. However, monetary donations are relied upon to
make this place run efficiently and effectively with the resources they currently have, to

positively influence each child that makes Good Samaritan their new home. Every child
there has a future that God has planned for them. They each have dreams and goals of
their own to one day accomplish with the help of sponsors and supporters. Whether
they study to graduate and work in Malawi to give back to the very place that invested in
them, attend Bible college to become national or international missionaries to spread
the Gospel in local villages and abroad, or are joined into a family through the process
of adoption, every future matters and your donation has the potential to change lives
forever. There is no better investment than to invest in the future of our world and bring
hope to the orphan.
“I have shewed you all things, how that so laboring ye ought to support the weak, and
to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than
to receive.” -Acts 20:35
